The Contests Challenge

Two competitors took part in a contest and were rewarded with an amount of money. The first contestant answered correctly to 8 questions, the second to 6 questions. The amount received by each is proportional to the number of questions they answered correctly. Briquinex wants you to find out the amount of money each of them received if, one sixth of the amount received by the second competitor, increased by 25% of the amount received by the first is with 1100 dollars smaller than the sums received together?
